Here’s hoping that your 2025 is off to a good start! We are writing to share a few updates with you.
First, the 2025 board for the Dale Basin Well Owners Association held their first meeting on Sunday, and things are off to a good start! We welcomed Teresa Sitz and Joe Chaplain onto the board. And, we scheduled the General meeting dates for 2025, which will be:
Sunday, March 9th, 1:00 pm
Sunday, August 10th, 1:00 pm
Sunday, December 7th, 1:00 pm
Please mark your calendars to save the dates! All meetings will take place at the Wonder Valley Community Center, 80526-1/2, Amboy Rd, Twentynine Palms, CA 92277.
Second, we are excited to share that the entire historical collection of newspaper articles documenting many years of history of Wonder Valley has now been posted to the DBWOA website!
“These folders contain newspaper articles from 1936 to the present day. Documenting the history of DBWOA, including why this group was formed, was a project of the2024 DBWOA Board. This information was obtained from the 29 Palms Historical Society. The subject of the articles is not only The Dale Basin Well Owners Association, but an overview of the trials and tribulations of providing water to Wonder Valley residents through the years.”

The agenda for the March meeting is being developed and will be out soon. And, I have it on good authority that there will be a water witching demo (aka, dousing) by our friend Clarence Chambers. Speaking for myself, I’m really looking forward to that!
